Terms and Conditions for Dog Walking Services with Hoppiness Pet Care

1. General Terms 1.1. By booking a dog walking service with Hoppiness Pet Care, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.
1.2. We provide one-on-one dog walking services, ensuring your dog receives individual attention. We do not offer group walks with other owners. If your dogs live in the same household, we can offer group walks of up to 4 dogs at a time.
1.3. All walks are scheduled in advance and take place at an agreed-upon time and location.
1.4. Owners must provide accurate contact details, including an emergency contact who can make decisions on their behalf if they are unreachable.
1.5. If an owner is not home at the scheduled time, prior arrangements must be made for key collection and access to the dog.
1.6. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if a dog exhibits aggressive or uncontrollable behaviour that poses a risk to the walker, other animals, or the public.

2. Health and Safety 2.1. All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, flea, and worm treatments. Proof of vaccinations may be requested.
2.2. Dogs must be in good health and free from any contagious conditions. If a dog shows signs of illness, the walk may be cancelled at the owner’s expense.
2.3. Owners must disclose any medical conditions, behavioural issues, or special requirements before the first walk.
2.4. All dogs will be walked on-lead unless written consent is provided for off-lead exercise in secure areas. Even with consent, we will assess whether it is safe to let a dog off-lead.
2.5. We take every precaution to ensure a dog’s safety, but we are not responsible for injuries, illnesses, or incidents that occur during walks unless due to negligence.
2.6. If extreme weather conditions (heat, storms, icy conditions) make walking unsafe, we will discuss alternative arrangements with the owner.

3. Booking and Cancellation 3.1. All walks must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
3.2. Walks can be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
3.3. If an owner returns home earlier than expected and no longer requires a scheduled walk, they must provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Otherwise, the full fee will be charged.
3.4. If we arrive for a scheduled walk and the dog is not available, the full fee will still apply.
3.5. If a walk needs to be extended beyond the agreed time, additional charges may apply.

4. Payment 4.1. Payment of one walk must be made to confirm your booking (one-off and regular).
4.2. We accept direct bank transfer or cash (prearranged). Late payments may result in suspension of services.
4.3. No refunds will be given for cancelled or unused walks unless they meet the cancellation policy criteria.

5. Liability 5.1. We are fully insured for public liability, but owners remain responsible for their dog’s behaviour and any damage caused to property, people, or other animals whether we are present or not.
5.2. We are not liable for loss, injury, or death of a dog unless due to proven negligence.
5.3. In case of an emergency, we will attempt to contact the owner. If urgent veterinary care is needed, we will take the dog to their registered vet or the nearest available vet. The owner is responsible for all veterinary and related costs.

6. Keys and Security 6.1. If key access is required, all keys or keylock information will be securely stored and not labeled with personal information. 
6.2. Owners must notify us immediately of any changes to locks or access arrangements.

7. Miscellaneous 7.1. We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
7.2. By booking our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
7.3. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of UK law or Hampshire County Council.

Terms and Conditions for Home Visit Services with Hoppiness Pet Care

1. General Terms 1.1. By booking a home visit service with Hoppiness Pet Care, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.
1.2. Our home visit services cover all domesticated animals, including but not limited to cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, small mammals, birds, reptiles, and fish.
1.3. All bookings must be made in advance and confirmed by us before service commencement.
1.4. Home visits include feeding, water replenishment, cleaning of litter trays/cages/enclosures, and basic welfare checks as agreed with owner before service commencement. Additional services, such as administering medication or extended playtime, must be discussed and agreed upon at the time of booking.
1.5. We are not responsible for any household damage caused by the pet(s) during or outside of our visit time.
1.6. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if an animal shows excessive aggression or poses a safety risk.

2. Access to Property 2.1. The owner must provide clear instructions on how to access the property, including keys, security codes, or any specific entry instructions.
2.2. All keys and security information will be handled with strict confidentiality and will not be shared with any third party.
2.3. If we are unable to access the property at the agreed-upon time due to a locked door, non-working key, or incorrect access information, the visit will still be charged in full.
2.4. Once booked, dates cannot be changed, and any reduction in days will be charged in full.

3. Pet Health and Well-being 3.1. Owners must inform us of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or behavioral concerns prior to completing a booking.
3.2. If a pet appears unwell or injured during a visit, we will attempt to contact the owner immediately. If urgent veterinary care is required and the owner is unreachable, we will seek veterinary treatment at the owner's expense.
3.3. Medications will only be administered if clear written instructions are provided. We are not responsible for any adverse reactions to prescribed medications.
3.4. If a pet is found to have fleas, ticks, or other parasites, the owner will be informed, and appropriate action may be recommended.

4. Booking and Payment 4.1. A non-refundable deposit of 1 days' payment is required at the time of booking to secure the service.
4.2. Full payment is due 7 days before  the first day of service. Late payments may result in service cancellation.
4.3. Cancellations made with less than 7 days' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
4.4. No refunds will be issued for early termination of service.
4.5. Payments can be made via bank transfer. A receipt will be provided upon request.

5. Liability 5.1. We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet(s) during our visit but cannot be held liable for any illness, injury, loss, or death that may occur, except in cases of proven negligence.
5.2. The owner is responsible for ensuring the home environment is safe for the pet(s) and pet sitter.
5.3. We are not liable for any property damage caused by pets while unsupervised.
5.4. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as extreme weather, illness, or an emergency preventing us from attending a visit, we will contact the owner as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements.

6. Security and Confidentiality 6.1. We will not share any personal or security details of our clients with third parties.
6.2. Photos or updates of pets may be shared on our business pages with the owner's consent.
6.3. Keys will be returned at the end of the agreed service unless an ongoing arrangement is in place.

7. Abandonment 7.1. If an owner fails to return home on the agreed date and does not provide further instructions, we will make every attempt to contact them. If no contact is made within 12 hours, we may need to seek assistance from local authorities or rehome the pet(s) at the owner’s expense.

Terms and Conditions for Boarding Services with Hoppiness Pet Care

1. General Terms 1.1. By booking a stay at The Hoppiness Lodge, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.
1.2. We provide boarding services for rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals. We do not accept dogs, cats, or exotic pets such as reptiles, birds, or amphibians.
1.3. All animals must be dropped off and collected at the agreed-upon times. Late collections may result in additional charges, with a grace period of 30 minutes. If you anticipate a delay please inform us as soon as possible.
1.4. Owners must provide accurate contact details, including an emergency contact who can make decisions on their behalf if they are unreachable.
1.5. We are not responsible for any items left with the pet, such as toys, blankets, or carriers, though we will do our utmost to return them in good condition.

2. Health and Vaccinations 2.1. All rabbits must be fully vaccinated against Myxomatosis and both strains of Rabbit Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (RVHD1 & RVHD2) at least 3 weeks before their stay. Proof of vaccination is required before boarding. Ideally, guests would email proof ahead of time, however we will also accept proof at drop-off time. Failure to provide proof will result in refusal of boarding without a refund. 
2.2. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any animal showing signs of illness, parasites (e.g., fleas, mites), or untreated medical conditions. If any signs of illness appear during the stay, we will contact the owner immediately.
2.3. If an animal requires veterinary care during their stay, we will first attempt to contact the owner. Failing this, we will contact the emergency contact. If unavailable, we will proceed with veterinary care at the owner's expense. Any veterinary related transport costs will also be charged to the owner. 
2.4. Animals with ongoing medical conditions must come with clear written instructions and necessary medications. Medications will be administered as per the owner's instructions but at the owner's risk. We can administer oral medication only.
2.5. We are not liable for any pre-existing medical conditions that worsen during the stay.
2.6. If an animal is found to have fleas, mites, or other parasites, we will administer appropriate treatment, and the owner will be responsible for the cost of treatment and any additional cleaning fees.

3. Accommodation and Care 3.1. We provide clean, spacious, and safe accommodation tailored to the needs of each guest. Enclosures are cleaned regularly, and bedding is changed frequently to maintain hygiene.
3.2. Owners must provide their pet’s usual dry food to maintain dietary consistency. We supply fresh vegetables, hay, treats, and water. If a pet runs out of food during their stay, we will purchase a replacement at the owner's expense.
3.3. All animals will be housed individually unless explicitly requested by the owner for bonded pairs or groups. We reserve the right to separate animals if aggression occurs. 
3.4. Exercise and enrichment will be provided daily.
3.5. We cannot be held responsible for stress-related illnesses or conditions that develop during or after boarding, as some animals may become anxious in a new environment.
3.6. In the event of an animal passing away while in our care, we will handle the situation with sensitivity and contact the owner immediately. If requested, we will arrange for veterinary examination at the owner’s expense.

4. Booking and Payment 4.1. A non-refundable deposit of 1 day's payment is required at the time of booking to secure the reservation. Reservations are not secured until deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your booking. 
4.2. Cancellations: Full refund for cancellations made at least 14 days before boarding, 50% fee for cancellations made between 7 and 14 days, and no refund for cancellations within 7 days. Exceptions may apply at our full discretion.
4.3. No refunds will be given for early collection
, as the space has been reserved for the full booking duration.
4.4. If an animal’s stay needs to be extended, the owner must inform us as soon as possible, and additional fees will apply. Extensions are subject to availability.
4.5. Payments can be made via bank transfer. Alternatively, we accept cash at drop-off (pre-arranged only). A receipt will be provided upon request.
4.6. If you need someone other than the lead booker to pick up or drop off your pet, please let us know in advance, at least 1 hour before your scheduled time slot. They will need to bring either a passport or driving license as proof of identity before we can allow them to drop off or pick up your pet. 

5. Liability 5.1. While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of all animals, Hoppiness Pet Care is not liable for any illness, injury, loss, or death that may occur during boarding, except in cases of proven negligence.
5.2. Owners are responsible for informing us of any known behavioural issues, dietary restrictions, or special care requirements. We will take all reasonable steps to accommodate these needs but cannot be held liable for any issues arising from undisclosed conditions.
5.3. In the event of an emergency, we will act in the best interests of the animal, including seeking veterinary assistance if necessary.

6. Collection and Abandonment 6.1. We are not a rescue. If an owner fails to collect their pet on the agreed date without prior notice, we will make reasonable attempts to contact them. After 7 days without resolution, we reserve the right to rehome the animal. The owner remains liable for any outstanding fees.
6.2. If an animal is collected by someone other than the owner, prior written consent must be given, and the individual must provide identification upon collection. 
6.3. Late collection fees may apply if an animal is not picked up within the agreed-upon timeframe.
